Arda village is situated at the valley of river Arda, about 2 km away from its spring and about 3 km away from the Greece frontier.
To come to us first you have to go through the road to Rodozem that comes after Smolyan. Go on 2-3 km and then turn to the right. The road passes through the villages of Smilyan and Mogilica and leads to Arda village.
There are signs in the village that will help you to find the house.
“Reseleshki” House has a folk-style tavern, a fireplace, kitchen and local steam heating. There are sauna, a vibramassage cabin, satellite television available for the guests. Picturesque mini pool, barbecue and grill are situated in the yard that is about on the river.
Guest service is done by a local host – accommodation, showing the sights in the surroundings and hiring mountain guides.
The host receives orders for making dishes from Rodopi cuisine: patatnik (potato cake), barbecue, Smilyan beans, home-made milk, and meat delicacy.
The area is famous for its eco tracks built on PHARE Program project and served by mountain guides.
In the area you can find Haberlea rhodopensis. It is a unique plant and has the ability to revive. Dry and herbarized up to 30 months plants of this species are able to restore life-force after getting wet and being planted.
Horse riding and bike tours are offered in the village also a walk with mules through the eco tracks. There is a opportunity for fishing tourism in Smilyan (12 km). During winter the conditions for ski are: training ski-tow in Mogilica (5 km) and ski-runs in Pamporovo (45 km).

Attractions in the area:
The spring of river Arda: From the village is possible transporting by jeep to neighborhood Bilyanska. From there, there is an hour or so climb through a steep forest pathway to the spring of Arda. The ice-cold waters of the river spring from beneath the roots of a venerable beech at the foot of peak Ardin (1650 m).
Garga Dere: If you are fond of extreme experiences, this is the best place where you can raise your adrenaline. The alpine rope-way connecting the two slopes of Garga Dere passes 20 m above the water and is 45 m long.
Cave “Garganiovica”: Those of you who like long walks close to nature may take a passage through the picturesque canyon of Garga Dere to cave “Garganiovica” – an hour and a half walking up along the stream of river “Esenska”.
Cave “Kaleto”: By the village Koshnitza is situated one of the natural phenomena in the area – the passable cave “Kaleto”. It is an enormous rock vault, leading to the top where the remains of an ancient stronghold are situated.
Cave “Uhlovica”: There are 20 caves in the surroundings of village Mogilica. The most attractive one is “Uhlovica” (3 km. North-east from the village). The cave is famous for its large number of rock waterfalls and extremely beautiful rock formations. “Uhlovica” is situated 1040 m above the see level and the temperature inside is 10-11 °C during the whole year. The cave is 460 m long. 330 m are well laid out. The cave is found in 1967 by Dimitar Raichev and George Raichev. Annually it is visited by 3000 visitors.
Agushevi Konaci: The famous place “Agushevi Konaci” is situated in the next-by village Mogilica. The buildings are built up in the middle of 19 century by Bulgarian masters. The complex consists of three buildings. Each building has separate yard and draw-well. The building for women is separated by high inner walls. The three buildings are surrounded by a common wall. In its south-east corner rises a tower. As you enter the yard the large balconies and the cosy of the inner yard will welcome you. In the rooms are ordered collections of Bulgarian national crafts – cloth, rugs, bells, decorations.
Kiselchovski waterfalls: After passing through village Kiselchovo the passage to the waterfalls continues through mixed forest. The fragrance of herbs and forest fruits floats over the glades that you are doing to pass. The pathway continues to small gorge and reaches five-meter high waterfall. Adventurers may go on climbing to the beautiful virgin recess of the higher waterfalls.
